Kanal-Krug GmbH & Co KG holds the quality mark G, RAL 961 from the Gütegemeinschaft Güteschutz Kanalbau for cleaning, TV inspection and leak testing for building and property drainage pipes up to a nominal diameter of DN 250.
Leak testing of house connection pipes
This inspection is usually prescribed by the cities and municipalities for new buildings and serves as proof that the property drainage system has been constructed professionally and complies with the relevant standards, e.g. DIN 1986 or EN 1610, - EN 752 or 12056, etc.
The reason for not allowing wastewater to seep into the groundwater in the old pipes is to prevent damage and health hazards during drinking water use and production.
Experience in recent years has shown that a large proportion of these old pipes are leaking, and untreated wastewater can contaminate the groundwater.
Our certified specialists carry out subsequent examination variants:
- Testing of entire postures
- Testing individual pipe connections
- Testing connection pieces
- Inspection of manhole structures
We can use water or air methods to test the pipes or the underground pipe. Private and public pipes must be inspected regularly in accordance with DIN 1986 and tested for operational safety and leaks.
Leak testing of pipes and ducts
Play it safe! Leak test to prevent improper waste disposal and groundwater contamination.
The German Water Resources Act (WHG) stipulates that a leak test must be carried out for all wastewater pipes. Every operator is responsible for their pipe, must commission the test, keep the test reports in a safe place and present them to the responsible authority on request. DIN 1986-30 regulates the deadlines for when the initial test and repeat tests are required.
Leak tests
Every year, countless millions of liters of wastewater seep away through leaking sewers. The damage may be invisible, but it is nevertheless immense. Sewers are a bit of a poor relation when it comes to construction or renovation measures. They are almost only renovated as part of maintenance work. However, the quality of these renovations is rarely checked for leaks. Even if a repair area in the sewer looks good, this does not mean that it is leak-proof. A visual inspection using a sewer camera cannot provide reliable information about the tightness of a sewer system.
