Short liner or long liner rehabilitation is a repair method that is more cost-effective than the open construction method. It is used for individual damaged areas such as sockets or minor pipe damage. In this method, a laminate of glass fiber mat and epoxy resin is built onto a carrier device (packer) and placed at the location of the pipe damage under sewer camera observation. This procedure has proven to be particularly effective for minor damage (0.5 to 5 m in length). It is used for crack formation, root ingrowth, shard formation, sewage leakage, pipe breakage, socket and pipe displacement and is a tried and tested method.
For drainage obstacles
In pipe sizes DN 100 to DN 150, pipe obstructions such as solid deposits or incrustations can be removed beforehand using a mini robot with a high-torque air motor prior to pipe rehabilitation. A short pipe liner is often installed for the partial rehabilitation of cracks, fragments, joints, corrosion, root ingrowth etc.. This is often an approx. 60 cm repair section. The ECR fiberglass laminate, which is prefabricated on site and impregnated with synthetic resin, is pulled over a manhole onto the damaged area to be repaired using a rehabilitation packer (length approx. 1 m). A contact pressure of up to 1.5 bar presses the impregnated laminate onto the pipe wall and hardens there.

DrainPacker Epros® DrainPacker
Process for repairing damaged underground wastewater pipes from DN 50 to DN 250 with short and long liners. The Epros®DrainPacker process is suitable for the partial repair of damaged underground wastewater pipes and pressure pipes.
Areas of application:
- Leaks with and without groundwater infiltration or exfiltration at pipe connections, pipe walls, connection areas, etc.
- Position offsets, crack and shard formation, fractures
